WAGO’s Professional Installer Club (PIC) is now open to electrical installers in Ireland, with networking and demonstration events currently being planned for 2018. The club is free to join, and gives members a direct channel to WAGO, allowing them to get up close with new products, receive special offers and discounts, and take part in training sessions.
The objective of the PIC is to help installers enhance their skills, and demonstrate how WAGO’s wiring offering can save time, effort and money, whilst staying within the regulations. Signing up to the PIC can be done through WAGO’s UK and Ireland website, by email on firstname.lastname@example.org, or by enquiring to @WAGOLimited on Twitter. The club now boasts over 8,000 members. Dates and venues for the 2018 events are still to be confirmed. The planned events reflect WAGO’s increased activities in Ireland, following the visit in July of its Infoliner mobile demonstration vehicle for the first time. The tour visited facilities across the country, providing an opportunity to see how WAGO’s interconnection and automation products can help to solve productivity and efficiency issues in the field.
Two successful events have already taken place in the UK. In May, the PIC held its inaugural open day at its Rugby headquarters. Attendees received free product samples, tips on wiring regulations and best practices, and a tour of the WAGO facility. Visitors were also given a buffet lunch, plus free gifts and a voucher to spend on the WAGO online shop. The event also gave installers a chance to test and offer feedback on ideas and prototypes that are yet to hit the market.
In September, WAGO took over the Jaguar Suite at the Ricoh Arena for the duration of Elex Show Coventry on 21st and 22nd September, offering product demonstrations to all show visitors. Along with the opportunity for electrical contractors to join the PIC, visitors learned how WAGO’s wiring products can save time, effort and money, whilst staying within the regulations.
