The AEW is also delighted to announce that, following the success of its inaugural awards AEW AEW puts WEEE recycling at the top of its agenda lunch in May 2022, the event will be returning on Wednesday 15 May 2024 at the Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley. At this lunch, the most successful WEEE recyclers in the AEW will be rewarded for their recycling efforts over the 12-month period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024. ‒The Association of Electrical Wholesalers (AEW) is launching a dynamic WEEE recycling campaign in conjunction with WEEE Ireland and their partners in the Electrical Industries Federation of Ireland (EIFI). AEW relaunches staff training programme ‒The Association of Electrical Wholesalers (AEW) is relaunching its staff training programme with some significant improvements. The initial launch of the staff training programme in March 2021 proved highly successful. The AEW is delighted to announce that some of the modules are now available online and at a reduced price. There are 12 modules in total, all of which can be ordered in hard copy format, while the following modules can also be ordered in an online format: • Principles of Electricity. • Lighting (Introduction). • Lighting (Systems and Controls). • Cables and Cable Management. • Distribution, Switchgear and Protection. • Customer Services. The price for hard copy modules remains at £130, while the price for the online version is £99. The AEW will be writing to all of its members shortly to con rm the ordering procedure for 2023, so please watch out for this email. As with WEEE recycling, the best performers in the staff training programme will be rewarded at the AEW awards lunch in Mway 2024.
