Printed by W&G Baird As we step into what traditionally marks the industry’s most bustling season, the outlook is undeniably upbeat on the business front. A notable trend capturing our attention is the upsurge in wholesalers and distributors orchestrating their own trade events this year. The calendar has already seen a string of trade show events across the nation, with several more slated for September, promising a whirlwind of activity and networking opportunities. One date to mark on your calendar is the 5th of September, as Edmundson Electrical in Glasnevin gears up to host an EV Charging Trade Day—an event poised to spotlight the latest innovations and advancements in electric vehicle charging. Following that, on the 12th of September, EEW is set to commandeer the spotlight with a grand trade show at the Riverside Hotel, Enniscorthy, anticipated to be an event of substantial magnitude. Later in the month, on the 21st of September, Demesne Electrical will take centre stage, presenting their ‘Switched On’ affair, featuring over 30 exhibitors eager to showcase their products and solutions. In the age of remote transactions, wholesalers are swiftly recognising the value of these trade exhibitions as a platform to engage with customers on a personal level. The face-to-face interactions fostered by such events are becoming an increasingly potent tool in their business arsenal. The IEBA Winter Ball will be held again this year at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dublin on 17th November. The theme this year is 'Hollywood'.
