The first EIFI Electrical Industry Awards Lunch Was held on 1st September at the Red Cow, Morans Hotel. An attendance of 250 guests from all sectors of the industry created a great atmosphere in the room as the show was about to start.
After a delightful meal the show got underway with the hosts for the day Introducing some entertainment as a warm up to the main part of the afternoon’s Award presentation.
The special award of the day, “Electrical Person of the Year” was presented to Cel O’Reilly ( Philips) in recognition of his long successful career with Philips in Ireland and his achievement as ‘founding father’ of the IEBA.
Irish Electrical Benevolent Association has been operational in the industry since 2001 and has been of great benefit to members of the Irish electrical community, who have found themselves in need of help. IEBA is now well established in our industry and in his acceptance reply, Cel urged members of the industry to become involved in the future operations of the organisation to ensure the continuation of it work into the future.
