An innovative click system for boards and components ensures easy installation. This means that modular solutions can be implemented with little effort, depending on the project. Thanks to this modularity, the boards are also easy to maintain. Depending on the customer's application, Rittal offers two different approaches, thus creating more flexibility in use. On the one hand, the RiLineX platform is available as a complete board for Rittal AX compact and VX25 baying enclosures up to 1,200mm that can be installed at lightning speed, and is also pre-assembled in the enclosure. This makes the board ideal for standard applications where the requirements are known in advance. Users thus save costs, increase clarity and can install the system without any special prior knowledge. MORE FLEXIBLE THAN EVER On the other hand, the design as an open modular system for individual system construction up to 2.4 metres or even more offers full design freedom – also flexibly via baying connection. Users only need the length of the mounting plate and can combine the modules individually in 200mm increments. The drilling pattern remains identical on every standard Rittal mounting plate. Only standard busbars then have to be cut to size for the system. The copper rails are then securely fixed in the board so that short-circuit resistance is always guaranteed. This variant is also available as a kit without rails. Especially for international applications, it is economically and ecologically advantageous not to ship heavy metal to other continents. With RiLineX, the boards can be easily used on site with inexpensive standard rails made of copper or aluminium in various cross-sections. Even a row across several cabinets is no problem. Rittal also provides support in planning with the new RiPower configurator. FOUR-POLE INTO THE FUTURE With RiLineX, Rittal is taking enclosure power distribution into the future. Initially, the system will be available as a three-pole solution with currents up to 800 A. Fully four-pole systems will also be available in the future. In addition, the platform is suitable for use in DC applications, which play an important role especially in the field of efficient industrial applications and renewable energies.
