ELECTRIC.IE • The Magazine & Website for the Irish Electrical Industry • 35 Hager Ireland Expands Southern Team with New Appointment Originally from France, Lisa Thalgott combines strong academic credentials with hands-on industry experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Sales Engineering from ESTA School and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Industrial Management from Turku University of Applied Sciences. Her journey with Hager began during an apprenticeship with Hager France, where she worked as an Assistant Product Manager focusing on EV Charging Solutions. She later moved to Singapore, spending two years with Hager ASEAN as a Marketing Executive. There, she supported sales teams by engaging with consultants and architects, while organising initiatives such as Lunch & Learn sessions—experience that now underpins her customer-facing role in Ireland. Lisa joined Hager Ireland in April, taking responsibility for the southern region. Her move into sales was intentional, driven by a desire for greater customer interaction. “I enjoy building relationships, understanding people’s needs, and finding solutions that make their lives easier,” she says. “Sales offers a unique mix of communication, strategy, and measurable impact.” Her decision to continue her career with Hager reflects both professional alignment and personal values. With a background in electrical engineering, she was naturally drawn to the company’s product portfolio, particularly its growing emphasis on sustainable solutions. “Hager’s focus on sustainability aligns strongly with my values,” she explains. “I also connect with the company’s direction—‘Better buildings. Better tomorrows.’” Equally important is Hager’s identity as a family-owned business, built on values of authenticity, courage, and integrity. The opportunity to work within a global organisation also appealed, allowing Lisa to continue learning from international colleagues and diverse markets. In her day-to-day role, Lisa manages a varied workload, including customer meetings, technical support, and identifying new business opportunities. She works closely with internal teams to ensure coordinated service and uses CRM systems to track and manage activity. Her approach to sales is consultative and relationship-led. “I focus on listening first, understanding challenges, and then proposing solutions that genuinely add value,” she says. “Long-term success comes from trust and collaboration.” Looking ahead, Lisa’s priorities include building a strong understanding of the Irish electrical market and strengthening relationships with wholesale partners, contractors, and consultants. She is also focused on supporting new product launches and ensuring their successful adoption. For now, her immediate focus is on meeting customers and building connections across the region. “I’m excited to meet customers, strengthen partnerships, and support Hager’s growth in Ireland,” she says. With a strong international background and a clear customer focus, Lisa’s appointment marks a positive addition to Hager Ireland’s team in the South. Hager Ireland has strengthened its presence in the South with the appointment of Lisa Thalgott as Sales Engineer, bringing with her a strong blend of technical expertise, international experience, and a relationshipled approach to customer engagement.
