Several systems were looked at in

the design stage from electric to wet

systems. The project was awarded to

Ecovolt because they could deliver

everything the design team required

and within the allocated budget.

P. Malone Electrical headed up

the electrical team and worked

very closely with Ecovolt from

design stage right through to

commissioning stage. Philip Malone

from P. Malone Electrical tells

Electric.ie

how his team made light

work of such a complex building.

“From the outset with this project

the heating system was all about

control. Every part of the electrical

infrastructure was designed for

the client to have either one main

tenant or multiple tenants occupy

the building, so the heating system

had to have the facility to control

multiple zones. EcoVolt came

to site and took detailed room

measurements and presented us

with a detailed proposal. There

was no complex wiring required

or control devices needed in

distribution boards. All that was

required from us was a dedicated

heating circuit to the proposed

radiator location and the radiator

paired with the main touchscreen

wireless control panel. The

installation of the system was really

so easy for my team. As an electrical

contractor that is pivotal for success

on tight scheduled projects. I

cannot recommend the JouleTherm

Heating System highly enough and

I look forward to using it again on

future projects”

So what gave EcoVolt the upper

hand over it’s competitors on this

project? Stephen Dempsey from

EcoVolt says. “There are not many

electric heating systems out there

where you can take a radiator out

of a box, hang it on the wall and

control it wirelessly from a central

control panel. It sounds simple

and it is. We have done all the

work to make it that simple. From

a single heating zone to 40 heating

zones that is what our system

can do without complex control

cabling or devices. Our system is a

contractors dream. Everything is

built into it. It is so easy to install,

our competitors did and we have

radiator are their Kaolin / Ceramic

heating elements for excellent heat

retention with their exclusive RF

digital thermostat controls with

central control functionality.

The JouleTherm JTr comes in 5

sizes, 600W, 900W, 1200W, 1500W

and 2000W and is available for
