The Association of Electrical Contractors (Ireland) trade show and seminars was back at the SPA Hotel in Lucan on 24th May.
Lucan’s Spa Hotel played host to the AECI Electrical Trade Show on May 24th, showcasing innovations and advancements in the electrical industry. The event brought together industry professionals, manufacturers, and enthusiasts alike, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

This years event seemed to have a nice relaxed atmosphere to it. The seminars started at 8.30. There was such a demand that they had to run them again at 1.30.
Seminars: John Geraghty of CWPS spoke about the pension landscape in 2023. Safe Electric talked about certification procedures. Gavin Edwards of Fagerhult discussed the future of lighting. Eirin Madden, Schneider Electric spoke about circuit devices relating to IS10101.
After the first round of seminars Cel O’Reilly of the IEBA declared the event open.
Reflecting the changes in the industry in recent times, there was a number of companies that specialise in EV Chargers and accessories.
The winner of the raffle for a GARO Consumer Unit was Ray Lynch of Sumera Electrical and second prize for a Gilet sponsored by CHINT went to Ger Geraghty of Fenlon Electrical.
Congratulations to GoMac Cables who won the Product of the Show Award for the Strut-Lock.
The golf outing sponsored by Arachas/Aviva was won by Derek Murphy of William Farrell Electrical taking the cup & James Donegan of CWPS winning the Exhibitors prize.
The footfall was extremely good throughout the morning and did quieten a little bit in the afternoon after the 2nd round of seminars.
