Ledburn Cables marks the retirement of Dave Blagburn, celebrating a career that has spanned more than four decades and has left a lasting impression across the sector.

Dave began his career in 1978 with Newey & Eyre in the UK before moving to Ireland in the 1980s. He joined Eastern Electrical in Dublin as Purchasing Manager, later taking on a similar role with OBF Distribution. His experience and leadership saw him progress to General Manager of ICD, part of the Edmundson Electrical Group, before moving into a role as Manager of Edmundson Electrical Dublin.

In 2005, Dave co-founded Ledburn Cables with Jack Ledwidge. Together, they built a business that has earned a strong reputation within the industry for service, reliability and trusted customer/supplier relationships. While Dave has decided to retire at the end of this month, he will continue to support Ledburn Cables on a part-time consultancy basis for the foreseeable future.

Reflecting on his career, Dave has thanked Keith Hendrick for the seamless transition of the business ownership and wished him every success for the future. He has also expressed his sincere thanks to the staff, customers and suppliers he has worked with over the years, extending his very best wishes to all.

As Dave steps back from day-to-day involvement, he leaves a lasting mark on the industry, and his colleagues, customers and suppliers wish him every success in the years ahead.
