Introducing your new favourite Pair of Snips

Klein Tools has launched its new 160mm insulated diagonal cutters, and already installers are calling it their new favourite pliers.
Prior to its launch in the UK, the 160mm diagonal cutters (that’s 6” in old money) was put to the test by 38 installers and electrical contractors. They used the tool for electrical, low voltage, maintenance, data and telecoms work and trialled its effectiveness to cut and strip copper wire, Cat 5/6 and coax cables and cut screws.

A staggering 97% rated the quality of the cut as very good or good, and most respondents found they used them often or very often in their work. 8 out of 10 thought the snips were a good or brilliant tool and half would ditch their old favourite pair in favour of the new 160mm diagonal cutters.

The Klein Tools 160mm insulated diagonal cutters are VDE certified and 1000V rated to help electricians work safer on the job, and feature Klein’s unique three-part insulation with a white underlayer which gives a visual indication if the insulation has been compromised.

As well as being safe to use, the diagonal cutters have also been built to last and have an induction hardened steel cutting edge to keep them cutting for longer. They also come with a lifetime guarantee.

The moulded slim handles are comfortable enough for repeated use and have small thumb guards for easy handling and storage.

Gerard Herbert from Klein Tools said: “Klein Tools have been making pliers for more than 160 years, and they put all that experience and knowledge into making the perfect pair every time. The trial for the new 160mm diagonal cutters has shown that when tool manufacturers listen to their customers and design products to suit their needs, electricians love them! With superior cutting and handling and a lifetime guarantee, these may well become the nation’s favourite snips.”
