NSAI Committee seeking experts in safety for A/V and ICT technologies

-

- Advertisment -

NSAI/ETC/TC 11 is the Irish mirror committee to IEC/TC 108 and CENELEC TC/108X with responsibility for standardisation in the field of safety for audio/video, information technology, and communication technology. The publication and global adoption of IEC 62368-1 has led to increased interest in the activities of IEC/TC 108 at an international level.

Active members of NSAI/ETC/TC 11 can influence the future direction of IEC 62368-1 and other safety standards. They can also use their expertise to review, comment on, and influence new drafts, proposed amendments, interpretation sheets and new work items presented by IEC/TC 108. Members will also provide input into the Irish National Committee on the exercising of voting rights at European and International level.

Jonathan Quigley, Standards Officer at the NSAI, highlights some of the benefits of membership, saying: ā€œMembership of an NSAI committee allows experts to influence the development of standards relevant to their field and gain an early understanding of upcoming changes to standards. It also allows experts to keep abreast of the latest technical innovation and market trends in their sector. Along with this, a number of organisations and associations count work on NSAI Technical committees as CPD (Continuing Professional Development).ā€

NSAI/ETC/TC 11 are welcoming applications from technical experts to join and become active members of the committee.

To apply, please submit your query to Jonathan.Quigley@nsai.ie
noting relevant experience within the safety of A/V and ICT industries.
