Designed and developed at the
company’s R&D unit in Dunleer,
County Louth, the radiator takes its
design inspiration from Dimplex’s
category-leading Quantum heater.
Q-Rad is sleek, slim and stylish
and comes with a host of unique,
intelligent energy-saving and cost-
saving features which set it apart
from any other product on the
market.
The Dual Element Technology of
both convective and radiant heat
means that a room is heated up
in the shortest amount of time
to maximise comfort levels and
minimise cost. The Open Window
and Door Detection feature means
that the Q-Rad intuitively adapts
when there is a sudden change in
temperature. The Q-Rad reacts to
this by going into standby mode
in order to minimise heat loss and
maximise performance.
The Q-Rad’s Eco-Start Anticipatory
Control has a unique, self-learning,
delayed start function which learns
the thermal characteristics of a
room and determines how long
the appliance needs to be on in
order to reach target temperature,
based on factors such as room
size, heat losses and the prevailing
weather. It learns the behaviour of
the household’s needs and adapts
accordingly, thus giving the Q-Rad
its reputation as being the ‘electric
heater with a brain’.
The Q-Rad has been created with
the customer at its core and comes
with a user-friendly display screen.
It also has an LCD touch screen,
which comes pre-programmed with
four timer modes - Out All Day, Home
All Day, Holiday and User Timer for
maximum performance. The Q-Rad
even comes with a child lock feature
to prevent little hands from tinkering
with the settings.
