Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has announced the appointment of Darren Kinsella to the newly created role of Business Development Manager – New Energy Landscapes.

Based in Maynooth, Darren will have a critical role to play supporting Schneider Electric’s customers and partners through the complex challenges and opportunities of the energy transition, including the roll out of electric vehicles (EVs) across the country and implementation of Microgrid systems. He brings over twenty years’ experience in the electrical industry, during which time he has founded several successful and award-winning businesses. His interest in electric vehicles led to the establishment of Darkin EV, which specialised in EV charging solutions for the electric vehicle industry. The company was acquired by an international organisation in 2021.  Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Darren was CEO for Darkin EV and the new organisation’s eMobility division.
