The fire and safety sector in Ireland is set to benefit from the arrival of a new player, Ventol Ireland, which officially opens on January 2, 2025. The new company established and managed by Derek McKeever, will operate as part of the larger Ventol UK group, bringing a dedicated focus on the Fire and Safety sector.

Derek McKeever brings over 30 years of experience in the life safety arena and 15 years of active involvement with both the IS3217 Emergency Lighting and IS3218 Fire Alarm standards, He is well-positioned to provide expert support to customers across the entire life safety industry. 

Derek’s vision is to offer equal support to both the project market and the wholesale market, ensuring all customers receive the attention and service they need.

To support this new venture, Derek has secured distribution rights to an extensive range of leading wholesale/project compatible product brands including: Securiton, CTEC, Vimpex, FFE and the sole agency for one of the leading domestic fire alarm detector manufacturers in the UK, Hispec.  

Commenting on this major partnership Derek McKeever said: “This strategic partnership with Hispec will allow us to penetrate the market from the get-go and underpins the trust a major brand has in the ability of Ventol Ireland to deliver strong growth in the Irish Market”.

Ventol Ireland has pledged to work closely with businesses across the electrical and fire safety sectors, offering tailored solutions and expert guidance to meet their specific needs. With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, the company aims to help its partners achieve the highest standards in life safety.

The new Ventol Ireland office will operate from the Sandyford Industrial Estate in Dublin.
