On October 24, 2024, ABB Ireland successfully hosted a Technology & Innovation Day at Johnstown Estate in Enfield, Co. Meath, bringing together industry professionals for a comprehensive look at advancements in electrification, automation, and energy management. Approved by Engineers Ireland for CPD, the event featured technical presentations, product demonstrations, and direct consultations with ABB experts, emphasising the latest trends in technology and standards affecting the electrical and energy sectors.
The event opened at 12:30 p.m. with a networking lunch, where attendees had the opportunity to view ABB product demos and discuss industry solutions with ABB specialists.
From 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., a series of targeted presentations addressed a range of topics critical to current and emerging needs in electrification and sustainable technology. Topics included sustainable offshore wind solutions, low voltage protection for energy efficiency, Robotics IE5 efficiency motors for Ex zones, variable speed drives for HVAC systems and fault current limiters for short circuit protection.
Attendees also engaged with ABB’s latest product offerings, covering Electrification Smart Buildings, Building Automation, e-Mobility, Motion, Process Automation Energy Industries, and more. Each attendee was entered into a draw for a chance to win tickets to Ireland’s upcoming Autumn Rugby Internationals against Fiji or Australia, adding a touch of excitement to the day.
The event concluded with a BBQ, allowing participants to network and reflect on the innovations discussed.
