  • The Association of Electrical Wholesalers (AEW) is launching a dynamic WEEE recycling campaign in conjunction with WEEE Ireland and their partners in the Electrical Industries Federation of Ireland (EIFI).

The campaign will include extensive trade press advertising, store POS, social media, e-mail marketing and website banners.

“We want to raise the profile of WEEE recycling in all sectors of the electrical industry, but particularly with electrical contractors, who are dealing with waste lighting on a daily basis”says AEW administrator, Ken Legros. “for our part, members of the AEW will be providing improved recycing facilities for our customers to recycle their waste fluorescent tubes, cfl’s and light fittings”.

The AEW is also delighted to announce that, following the success of its inaugural awards lunch in May 2022, the event will be returning on Wednesday 15 May 2024 at the Clayton Hotel, Liffey Valley. At this lunch, the most successful WEEE recyclers in the AEW will be rewarded for their recycling efforts over the 12-month period from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
