Staff at A.P. Haslam are in shock at the loss of a wonderful friend and colleague, Bernard Lynch, who died suddenly, but peacefully at home on 17th of February.

Bernard joined A.P. Haslam in 2016.  He quickly established himself within the company where his experience, knowledge, compassion and kindness proved invaluable. He was a wonderful “people person”.  He always had empathy for everyone he met and a great ability to inspire trust and confidence.  He could converse on any topic and connected at a very personal level with everyone he worked with.

We were extremely fortunate to benefit from everything Bernard brought with him.  Knowledge, experience, communication skills and kindness were but a few of his many attributes.

Many in the wider electrical industry will remember Bernard as a presenter of the EIFI awards in Moran’s Red Cow Hotel and the annual IEBA Christmas Ball.  Bernard gave his time generously to present these events with a level of professional skill and confidence that will be hard to replace.

He will be sadly missed by all the staff at A.P. Haslam and the many friends and admirers in the wider circle of the Irish electrical industry whose lives he touched.

We offer our sincere condolences to his loving partner Rose Oliveiria, his loving children Maebh, Cian, Dearbhla, Síofra, Paloma and Riessa and his former partner Sinead and his extended family and friends.

Keith Haslam
