Demesne Electrical – Deloitte Best Managed Platinum Award

- Advertisment -

The Deloitte Best Managed companies awards programme in association with Bank of Ireland has been developed to recognise Irish and Northern Irish companies operating at the highest levels of business performance and is open to companies in all 32 counties.

Demesne is the only electrical distribution company to have ever achieved Platinum status, which is only awarded to companies that have maintained their ‘Best Managed’ status for seven consecutive years.

Commenting on the award, Dave Williamson, Director of Demesne commented. “Demesne Electrical has gone from strength to strength since joining the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Programme. From a very early stage, we realised that the principles and Ideals of the programme were perfectly aligned with our own strategic thinking. This is our seventh year involved with the Programme and we are thrilled to receive the Platinum award.

Maintaining the very high standards set by Deloitte would not be possible without the enthusiastic support and commitment of our team of 54 professionals. Participation in the Deloitte programme has been hugely beneficial to us so far and we are really excited by the potential rewards that await us as a result of achieving Platinum status.

Driven in no small way by the influence of the Deloitte Best Managed programme, 2018 has seen significant changes to the organisation structure at Demesne. The company has appointed a whole new Management team to help ensure that the company’s strategic and commercial objectives are delivered.

Williamson added “This management team is made up of team members representing all areas of the business. It provides the business with a whole new resource which has already delivered great results across several initiatives, including new product development, technology, logistics and of course, sales. Of equal importance to us is that the creation of the new management layer provides real career development opportunities for our excellent team.”

As part of Demesne’s participation in the Deloitte Best Managed, the management team participated in the Symposium day prior to the Awards Night and all came away with exciting, new ideas that will now be implemented across the business.

Paul Fitzsimons, Sales & Marketing Director at Demesne said “The Deloitte programme has helped us to develop clear strategies that ensure that we ensure that we always listen to our Customers and stay ahead of changes in the market place. Across the entire company we work hard every day to deliver on our promise that Demesne Electrical is really easy to do business with.

This award marks a real milestone in our 40+ year history. The Deloitte Best Managed designation is a symbol of Irish corporate success – companies with a clear vision, creating stakeholder value, excelling in all areas of their business and celebrating the contributions of the entire organisation.

With our great Team of Staff and the continued loyalty of some of the world’s leading electrical component manufacturers, we are looking forward to continuing to help drive our customers businesses forward, in partnership with them.”
