AP Haslam know that assembling and installing electrical enclosures in Hazardous areas is a responsible, serious and precise business.

To satisfy your customers’ concerns about their ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosives) installation responsibilities, the Workshop at AP Haslam is fully accredited and independently audited to ensure the quality and compliance of whatever ATEX product you require.

A potentially explosive atmosphere exists when a volatile mixture of air, gas, vapour, mist or dust combines in such a way that can ignite under certain conditions. Typical circumstances occur in flour & saw mills, distilleries and mines, as well as other industrial areas such as petrochemical plants.

ATEX, and IECEx, (denoted by the ‘Ex’ symbol) is European legislation covering equipment and protective systems intended for use in these potentially hazardous conditions – and to meet certain standards and accreditations in order to provide your customers and their employees with the protection they need – by law.

“AP Haslam manufacture and assemble here in Dublin for the local Irish market”

Before a workplace becomes operational, its safety must verified by a person/organisation competent and experienced in the field of explosion protection. AP Haslam can help with a fully certified independent assessment and a proposed solution.

According to Richie Kavanagh AP Haslams Sales representative “People can be afraid of the subject, we can help you gain a good understanding of the questions to ask and help you create opportunities”.

As an accredited agent for Weidmüller, AP Haslam’s Workshop manufactures and assembles Hazardous Area Equipment bespoke to your particular circumstances. So whether its stainless steel, aluminium or plastic, AP Haslam can build enclosures that will provide your customers with legally compliant protection in industrial explosive-risk zones.

Drilling, milling, cut outs and threaded clearance entries are all completed with increased speed and accuracy using the newly-acquired Rittal Perforex Machining Centre ensuring turn-around on ATEX assemblies are completed with precision and on time.
