Ireland’s transition toward a cleaner, smarter and more resilient energy future continues to gather pace. Rising electricity costs, growing adoption of solar PV and increased awareness of energy independence are driving demand for technologies that not only generate renewable power, but also store and manage it more effectively. In response to these evolving needs, GARO is pleased to announce the launch of its new range of SolarEast PV inverters and battery energy storage systems.
For more than 40 years, GARO Ireland has built its reputation on safety, quality, innovation and reliability within the electrical industry. As a market leader in EV charging, the company has already played an important role in supporting the electrification of transport across Ireland and Europe. The launch of PV inverters and battery storage is therefore a natural progression for the business, extending GARO’s expertise from electrical infrastructure and EV charging into the wider renewable energy sector.
These new products form part of GARO’s growing Renewables Division, which also includes PV and EV distribution boards, AC and DC isolators, protection devices and metering products. Together, the range gives installers access to a broader, more integrated renewables offering from a single trusted supplier, helping simplify specification, procurement and support.
Battery storage is becoming an increasingly important part of modern energy systems. While solar panels generate renewable electricity during daylight hours, batteries allow that energy to be stored and used when it is needed most. This improves self-consumption, reduces reliance on imported grid electricity and helps customers gain greater value from their investment in renewables. For many homes and businesses, battery storage is now a practical step toward better energy resilience and reduced costs.
GARO’s new energy storage range has been developed with both installer and end-user requirements in mind. Early feedback from installation partners has been very positive, particularly around the ease of installation, straightforward commissioning process and practical product design. Reliability, safety and simplicity have been central priorities throughout development.
At the centre of the range is the new GARO All-in-One Energy Storage System, designed to simplify installation and reduce complexity on site. The system combines the inverter, batteries and connectivity into one package. With a rugged IP65 enclosure, it is suited to both indoor and outdoor installations. Installers benefit from faster setup and reduced space requirements, while end users gain access to smart monitoring through a mobile app and cloud-based platform. The system is expandable up to 30kWh and offers integrated backup functionality with UPS-level switching. Battery heating has also been included to support better charging and discharging performance during the winter months, helping maintain reliability in colder conditions.
Alongside the All-in-One system, GARO is also launching hybrid inverter and separate wall mounted battery packages which also include Wi-Fi connectivity, integrated battery protection. The system supports up to six 5kWH batteries in parallel, and is covered by a 10-year warranty.
As Ireland’s renewable energy market continues to expand, GARO’s latest launch marks an important milestone in the growth of its Renewables Division. By combining trusted engineering, installer-focused design and nationwide support, GARO is bringing to market a complete range of solutions that can help support greater energy efficiency, sustainability and independence.
