Gearóid McKenna, Managing Director of Task LED takes over the role of Chairperson of the
Lighting Association of Ireland.
The Lighting Association of Ireland is a representative group for lighting professionals who are dedicated to promoting quality and best practice throughout the lighting industry in Ireland. With all top lighting companies represented, the LAI is seen an essential forum where members can collectively benefit from an association which has developed strong relationships with government bodies, regulatory authorities and professional representative organisations.
Gearóid McKenna is the Managing Director of Task LED with over 40 years of experience in the lighting industry. He has been hands-on in product manufacture, indulged in the minutiae of functionality and design with clients of his own lighting company for many years and now proudly leads Task LED.
Taking over from Paul O’Connor who had given almost 3 years to the role. Gearóid said “I would like to thank Paul for his commitment and support over the last few years. Despite COVID restrictions Paul managed a busy agenda and worked to deliver the new LAI website and the Dialux Evo courses with Skillnet and the EIFI. Paul might have handed over the chair but I am delighted that he is staying on the steering committee as the LAI training officer”.
