he group began assembling as
soon as the doors opened, with
face painting and jumbo games
provided for the children. It was
a great opportunity for colleagues’
families to meet up and get to know
each other better. The youngsters
met new playmates and also had a
chance to put faces to the names of
people their parents see every day.
The weather stayed fine for touring
the zoo and seeing the brand new
Orangutan enclosure which had just
opened. The group reassembled
for a buffet lunch provided by
the Zoo and a wonderful cake
celebrating the occasion. After
lunch, a big screen was provided so
soccer fans wouldn’t miss out on
Ireland’s match against Belgium.
While the match result proved a
disappointment, the same couldn’t
be said for the Euro Sales day. It
was a thoroughly enjoyable event
for all concerned and hopefully just
the first of many more to come.
