OEM International has acquired Demesne Electrical

Demesne Electrical Sales Ireland has recently changed ownership. The new owner is OEM International, one of Europe’s leading technology trading groups.

With its head office in Tranås, Sweden, OEM has a turnover of €360 million and comprises 34 operational units in 14 countries. The group trades in industrial components and systems for industrial automation. OEM’s extensive product know­ how, years of experience and outstanding applications expertise offer customers a strong partner all along the supply chain, from product development and design to purchasing and production.

Demesne Electrical is a very successful Company and has been trading for 45 years within the Irish Business Community. Previous owners Dave Williamson, Paul Fitzsimons and Chris McKenna will continue in their roles and it will be business as usual for employees, customers and suppliers. The change of ownership date was 13th January 2022.

Jörgen Zahlin, CEO OEM International says “Demesne Electrical fits well into the OEM group and creates new opportunities for both based on the fact that Ireland is a new interesting market and that the company has several product areas that fit well into OEM”.

Dave Williamson, CEO of Demesne Electrical commented “Over the last couple of years our board have been planning for the next steps of future growth for Demesne Electrical. To this end we feel that OEM is an ideal fit. We are certain that Demesne will continue to flourish under this new ownership”.
