In Ireland, Phoenix Contact have recently moved to a larger premises in Ballymount, Dublin to support their continued growth. They have now established a new showroom area for product display, state of the art training room and have also expanded their office space.

The Irish subsidiary was established in 2004 to bring the Phoenix Contact brand and products closer to the customer here in Ireland. The business was initially supported through the UK subsidiary but since 2010 they have operated completely autonomously, reporting directly to the headquarters in Blomberg, Germany.

In 2010, Ireland became the first subsidiary in the world to operate a virtual warehouse. This means they have really efficient logistics directly from Blomberg. Standard delivery is 5 days by road or next day by express delivery if required. In addition to this they have a number of resellers and distributors who provide a service to customers by holding inventory for local JIT supply.

Technical Support
Technical support for the complete portfolio of products is provided from the Dublin office. – PCB Connectors, Rail Mounted Terminal Blocks, Field Cabling and Connectors, Marking Equipment & Material, Surge Protection Devices, Power Supplies, Interface Technology and Switching Devices & finally Control & Communication products. This support is augmented by product experts located in Germany who provide essential expertise in supporting the Irish team.

New showroom and training facilities
The opening of this new Dublin office gives customers the chance to visit, see and feel the products and the technology for themselves. There are outstanding live demonstrations of some of their products in the showroom, including all products with the latest push-in connection technology and a show case of the various applications and markets where the use of these products can benefit customers and help them to make the difference in their markets. The facility will also be hosting regular product training, seminars and technology talks on areas of common interest to the different industry and technology groups.
