Pedaling with Purpose: Uniting the Electrical Community for Charity on the Shores of Lough Derg.

On September 20th, the picturesque surroundings of Lough Derg will come alive with the hum of bicycle wheels as the electrical industry gathers for the highly anticipated “Dash of the Derg” charity bike event. Sponsored by Ei Electronics and meticulously organised by the Irish Electrical Cycling Club (IECC), this event is set to be a highlight on the industry’s calendar, blending the thrill of cycling with the spirit of giving.

A Worthy Cause

The Dash of the Derg is not just a cycling event; All proceeds from the event will benefit the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association (IEBA), a charity that provides financial assistance to those in the electrical trade who have fallen on hard times.

The event’s primary sponsor, Ei Electronics, a leader in the field, has been joined by an impressive roster of industry supporters.

But we need more of you to join us! Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or someone who enjoys a leisurely ride, your participation will make a difference. Imagine the impact we could have if even more of our colleagues, partners, and friends from across the industry got involved.

The Power Behind the Pedals

The Irish Electrical Cycling Club (IECC), the driving force behind this event, is a newly formed group of industry professionals who share a passion for cycling. Spearheaded by members such as Stephen McManus (Lidacel), Michael Bissett (Hager), Diarmuid McStay (REW), Andrew Clifford (JV Tierney), and Dan Fisher (Core Distribution & IEBA) the club has worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail of the event is meticulously planned.
